Roy L. Childress was the son of Thomas Monroe and Emma Thomason Childress.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Otha Childress and George T. Childress. Survivors include, one son R. David Childress; one daughter, Frances Childress; four sisters, Pearl Buck, Margie Childress, Eunice Holder and Nell Wetherington and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Roy was a United States Air Force veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion since 1945. He was a retired farmer and school bus driver and was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
