Grace Marie Baldwin-What a wonderful life, filled with love, laughter and a family she loved more than anything, our mother, Grace Marie Baldwin, 80 years young, of Mechanicsville, Va. was called home to be with the Lord and the love of her life, her husband, Kearney "Sonny" F. Baldwin Jr. on May 19, 2007. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles A. Snellinger and mother, Geneieve M. Snellinger. She is survived by her devoted children, Tony Barton, Jan McCormack and husband, Ralph, Deborah Funai, Kearney "Bubba" Baldwin III and wife, Teri, and James Baldwin Sr. and wife, Lisa; her loving grandchildren, Travis Barton Sr. and wife, Kim, Tracy Barton, Jeep Baldwin, Steven C. Camp Jr. and wife, Wanda, Tracey Moore and husband, Tommy, Jamie Camp, Kim McCormack, James Baldwin Jr. and wife, Veronica, Michael McCormack and wife, Jamie, Dawnee Smith and husband, Ryan, Allison Bowden, Jenny Funai, Adam Baldwin, Cora Campbell, Carla Campbell, and Carrie Van Dyke and husband, Nick; her fantastic great-grandchildren, Travis Barton Jr., Savannah Hawkins, Michael Thurston Jr., Chase Barton, Hailey Baldwin, James Baldwin III, Ryan Camp, R.J. Smith, Amber Baldwin, Alana Van Dyke, Ethan Scales, Brady Barton and her namesake, Gracie Smith; and her loyal dog, Chico Baby. Also her nephews and nieces, whom she cherished very much, Stephen, Marc, Jerry Snellinger and Leslie Blake and their families. Her extended family, C. R. "Ricky" Miller, Jean Johnson, Kelly Hobby, Heather Hogg and John Charles. She touched so many lives through the years, her strength was astonishing, her insight surprising, her loyalty unquestionable, and her love was endless. Grace had lung cancer, she never faltered, never questioned, she lived life to the fullest, she did it "Her Way" with dignity, faith in God and the love and support of her entire family and friends. She was an "Amazing Grace" to all who knew her. It's not how many years you've lived, it's how many lives you've touched along the way. She did make a difference. Remember her, and smile, she will surely be missed. The family received friends at the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd., Mechanicsville, from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, and where services were held 1 p.m. Monday conducted by Rev. Mary Sue Swann and Rev. MarQuita Burton. Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park on 301 Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Odyssey Hospice (Parham Rd.). Special heartfelt thanks to her "Angels of Mercy" Diane Gillies, Barbara Pickle, Ebony Garrett, and Betsy Blackwell, God bless them all. "God touched them and they touched her."
