ONE TIME DELTA SHERIFF IS DEAD
Funeral services for J. W. Wilhite, 54, former sheriff of Delta county, Texas, who died Monday at his home at Cooper, was held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Baptist church of Rattan. The Rev. W. C. Bennett of Texarkana conducted the services and was assisted by the Rev. Fleming of Rattan.
Mr. Wilhite, who was sheriff of Delta county four years ago is survived by his wife, two sons, Oran and T. C. and a daughter, Mrs. Richard Moss of Pecan Gap, Texas.
