GLEN ROCK – Cora M. Newcomer of Glen Rock, died at 5:40 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 1999, at Manor Care Health Services South, after a lengthy illness. She was 84.
Born in Manheim Township, December 3, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Spencer W. and Elizabeth (Thoman) Bortner.
She leaves her husband of 59 years, Morell A. Newcomer; two daughters, Evelyn J. Roser of Glen Rock and Edna I. Garver of Lebanon; four grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hanover and Water Streets, Glen Rock. The service is at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church with her pastor, the Rev. Craig A. Lantz, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery, Glenville.
