Services Set For Guy Curtis, Former Penfield Barber
Penfield, Guy G. Curtis, 80, of Penfield died at 2 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 19, 1979) at Country Health Nursing Care Center, Penfield.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lux Memorial Chapel, Rantoul, with the Rev. Robert E. Rosebraugh officiating. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery, Penfield.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Curtis was born June 3, 1899, in Hindsboro, a son of Henry and Elizabeth Hawn Curtis. He married Ellen Blackwell June 18, 1919, in St. Joseph, Mich. She died in 1974.
His survivors include nine sons, Guy Jr. of Tavares, Fla., Wesley of Armstrong, Leland of Rantoul, Joseph of Gifford, Patrick of Urbana, John of Hillsboro, Ind., Fred of Waynetown, Ind., and Donald of Penfield; four daughters, Sara Ray and Marjorie Roberson, both of Gifford, Joyce Hayn of Penfield and Joan Carpenter of Armstrong; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren, a brother, Charles, and a sister, Dorothy Cassiday, both of the Country Health Nursing Care Center.
Mr. Curtis was a retired Penfield barber.
