DEATH: Obituary, Selinda L. Holcomb Wood, Saturday Mirror, Plattsmouth, Nebraska, 21 Mar 1891, No. 6:
Mrs. Selinda Wood, the faithful wife of Rev. J. M. Wood, pastor of the South Park Baptist church, departed this life at noon Sunday, March 15th. Mrs. Wood has long been a sufferer from consumption and for the past month has been steadily sinking until last Sunday when the final summons arrived and she passed to her home beyond. The funeral services were held Wednesday morning, and were conducted by Rev. J.J. Keeler of Central City, assisted by Rev. J.T. Baird and Rev. J.D.M. Buckner of this city. The seven daughters of deceased acted as pall bearers and conducted the musical services. The body was interred in Oak Hill.
