Edith A. Cray Rites Conducted
Funeral services for Edith Cray, 76, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 8, 1971, at Fulkerson Memorial Chapel in Sidney with the Rev. Dwight Harshman officiating.
Pallbearers were Leonard Berry, Bill Moore, Bill Severance, Harry Payette, James Starr and David Williams. Vocal selections were "Beyond the Sunset," "Just A Closer Walk," "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "Precious Memories."
Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Fulkerson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Edith Anna Cray was born Feb. 6, 1895, in Marshall Ill., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ashworth. She married Glen Cray, Nov. 5, 1920, at Circle. They moved to Fairview in 1928 to farm in the Big Opening. Her husband, Glen, died in January, 1948. She moved to California in 1955.
She died Monday Oct. 4, 1971 in Lawndale, Calif.
Survivors include four sons, William of Washington; Glenn Jr. of Alexander, N.D.; Curtis of Lawndale, Calif., and Vern of Dore, N.D.; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Rebecca) Cagle, Lawndale, Calif.; Mrs. Ben (Alice) Peterson, Inglewood, Calif.; and Mrs. Paul (Mary) Cannon of Escondido, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Hawkins of Arvin, Calif., and Mrs. Mae Montgomery of Marshall, Ill.; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
