Obituary
Funeral services for Eloise Henry will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in the Pine Prairie Church of Christ with Brothers Jonathan Johnson and Jamie Roberts officiating.

Committal service will follow in the Ferguson Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Eloise, 94, of Pine Prairie, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 4, 2015 in the Prairie Manor Nursing Home. She was born August 8, 1920 in Bayou Chicot to John Hartzfelds and Beuna Rollins Hartzfelds. She was a member of the Pine Prairie Church of Christ and loving homemaker. Eloise retired from the Valley Canning Sweet Potato Plant in Ville Platte. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.


She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion “Snook” Henry, Sr.; two brothers, infant Alvin Hartzfelds and Tom Hartzfelds; two sisters, Maxie Ellis and Sylvia Ellis; one granddaughter, Karen Hebert; Special Sister-In-Law, Leona Hartzfelds; three son-in-laws, Wilfred “B” Hebert, Horace “T-Man” Hebert, and Jimmy Pierce.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are: one son, Marion “Junior” (Barbara) Henry, Jr. of Upper Pine Prairie; three daughters, Ruth Hebert of Pine Prairie, Lorraine (Bo) Sanchez of Woodlawn, and Joyce Pierce (Martin) Bailey of Pine Prairie; one brother, R.C. (Alice) Andrus of Moss Bluff; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Gabe Pierce, Ryan Pierce, C.J. Pierce, Michael Fleming, Bryan Maddox, and Randy Pierce.

Visitation will begin Monday, July 6, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. in the Pine Prairie Church of Christ, then on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 9 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. in the church.
