L.L. Messervy, Sr.

Conway - Lucius Leroy Messervy, Sr., 66, of Toddsville community of Horry County, a carpenter, died Sunday in a Conway Hospital.

The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at the graveside in Hillcrest Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home.

Mr. Messervy was born in Charleston County, a son of the late Thomas William Messervy and Mrs. Mattie C. Behling.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ella Oliver Messervy of Conway; two sons, Lucius L. Messervy, Jr. of Murrells Inlet and William R. Messervy, US Navy Pensacola, FL; one daughter, Mrs. William D. Willard of Murrells Inlet; three brothers, Luder C. Messervy Sr. of James Island, Dr. Thomas W. Messervy of Summerville and Edward Messervy of Meggett; five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Cargill and Mrs. J.J. Bair, both of Charleston, SC, Mrs. Ernest Britt of Myrtle Beach, Mrs. R. B. Bair of Meggett and Mrs. Dorothy M. Harrision of James Island; and eight grandchildren.
