Mrs. Caroline J. Pixley, 81, died at 8:30 p. m. yesterday (October 7, 1954) at her home near Pekin, in Washington County. she was the widow of Francis H. Pixley.
Her survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Olive Hazelwood, Pekin; Mrs. Rosie VanGilder, Borden; Mrs. Minnie Mahuron, Pekin; Mrs. Mary Russell, Bunker Hill, and Mrs. Lorene Weir, Sellersburg; five sons, Arthur, John and Herman Pixley, all of Pekin; Ezra Pixley, Salem and Bodine Pixley, Memphis.
The body was taken to the Littel Funeral Home, Borden.
Funeral rites will be at 2 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home, with interment following in Olive Branch Cemetery.
