Willetta "Billie" Sanford (Miller) Cummins, 86, of East Peoria died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at Morton Terrace in Morton, Ill.
She was born on June 29, 1922, in Colusa, Ill., to William F. and Florence Woodard Miller. She married Calvin "Cal" Cummins on April 15, 1949, in Peoria, Ill. He survives.
Also surviving are sons, Bernie (Jill) Cummins of East Peoria, Richard Wood of Jackson, Tenn., and William Wood of Regan, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lurlene.
Billie worked in data processing at Caterpillar Tractor Co., for 19 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in East Peoria, where she served as a deaconess, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Jayceettes.
Burial of cremains will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date.
