Harlan [nee Elena Jefferson Barnes], sister of Mrs. Vivian Littlefield [nee Vivian Edith Harlan] of Sacramento, and William R[alph] Harlan of Roseville; a native of Winters, California. Friends are welcome at the residence of Arthur D. Fenton, 1237 I St. Interment Winters to-morrow morning by auto."

"FORMER WINTERS RESIDENT SUCCUMBS IN SACRAMENTO.
Mrs. Edna Harlan Bliven, wife of Charles M. Bliven of San Francisco and a former resident of Winters, Yolo County, died here yesterday [April 4] at the home of her mother Mrs. Lena J. Harlan [nee Elena Jefferson Barnes], 4478 G Street, after an illness of only four days due to influenza. She came here only a few days ago to be with her mother.
Mrs. Bliven was a native of Winters where she was born thirty-nine years ago. The body was taken to Winters to-day for burial in the cemetery at that place.
Besides her husband and mother, deceased is survived by a sister and a brother, Mrs. Vivian Littlefield [nee Vivian Edith Harlan] of Sacramento and William R[alph] Harlan of Roseville."

Mrs. Charles M. Bliven was laid rest at Winters yesterday. Rev. Bryant Wilson, Baptist, of Sacramento, officiated. Among the mourners noted besides the husband and mother, Lena Harlan, were Mrs. Ernest Littlefield [nee Vivian Edith Harlan] of Sacramento and Ralph [nee William Ralph Harlan] of Roseville, sister and brother of deceased; Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Brown and Mrs. T. D. Cummins of Woodland, and Judge Joseph Barnes of Chico, uncle of Mrs. Bliven.
Mrs. Bliven was a native of Winters, born there 39 years ago. Before her marriage she was Miss Edna Harlan." END
