Marilyn J. Allee, age 57, of Highland Village, Texas, passed away Monday, January 17, 2005, at Medical Center of Lewisville following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 3, 1948 in Marceline, Missouri to Delmar E. and Dorothy Burke Foley. Marilyn married Ronald Gene (Ron) Allee on June 22, 1979 in Eldon, Missouri. Ron preceded her in death on October 2, 2004.
She began her teaching career in Eldon before moving to the Lewisville Independent School District where she taught for 22 years. Marilyn was a member of First Baptist Church Flower Mound where she was a pianist and a member of the hand bell choir.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Renee Vaughn and her husband, Bobby of Highland Village; son, Ronald Edward Allee and his wife, Jamie of Pittsburg, Kansas; mother, Dorothy Foley of Marceline, Missouri; sister, Rosalyn Fisher and her husband, Ed of Shawnee, Kansas; five grandchildren, Tyler and Brittany Allee and Brett, Bailey and Brady Vaughn; and nieces, Megan and Erin Fisher. She was preceded in death by her father Delmar E. Foley.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2005, at First Baptist Church of Lewisville. Interment will follow in Old Hall Cemetery. Reverend David Williams and Dr. Gary Loudermilk will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Flower Mound.
The family request memorial contributions be made to the Ron and Marilyn Allee Scholorship Fund C/O Lewisville High School. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville is in charge of arrangements.
