Services for Bennie Albertie Downing, 96, of Colmesneil, TX, were held Friday, August 4, 1989, at 10 a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with K. J. Seamons assisted by Jack Minyard officiating. Burial was held at Bethany Cemetery.
She was a native Texan and was a baptist.
Survivors include sons, George Downing of Colmesneil, and Joe Downing of Beaumont; daughters, Irene Paregien of Woodville, and Catherine Jernigan of Woodville; sister, Willie Dixon of San Antonio; 22 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
