Martha Chesshir, 64, of Woodville, died October 30, 1988. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 1, 1988, at 3:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Buddy McDaniel officiating and burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.

Martha was a retired LVN, a native of Kemp, OK, living in Woodville for 10 years moving from Houston. She was a member of the Aline Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Chesshir of Woodville; four daughters, Joy Finch of Houston, Mary Ellen Singer of Pearland, Linda Durham of Woodville, and Tricia Ann Martin of Spurger; sister, Mary Jo Matlock of Garvin, OK; three brothers, J. A. "Buck" McPhail of Oklahoma City, OK, Coleman McPhail of Costa Mesa, CA, and Gerald McPhail of Oklahoma City, OK; nine grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Robert Pollard, Greg Matlock, Ray Boyd, Terry Matlock, Jim Nugent, and Chris Martin.
