Survivors include his wife, Marcheta T.; a daughter Delores A. Thiers of Palmetto; a son, Julian M. of Bradenton; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ellenton Funeral Home. The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tenth Street Baptist Church in Palmetto. Burial will be in Parrish Cemetery. Published in Herald Tribune on March 14, 2002
