William "Bill" H. Hyatt, 77, Palmetto, died March 13, 2002. He was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Carmel, Ind., and came to Palmetto 60 years ago from New York.

He was a certified plumber. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and the Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Local Union 123. He was a corporal in the Army Air Forces during World War II. He was a member of Tenth Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marcheta T.; a daughter Delores A. Thiers of Palmetto; a son, Julian M. of Bradenton; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ellenton Funeral Home. The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tenth Street Baptist Church in Palmetto. Burial will be in Parrish Cemetery. Published in Herald Tribune on March 14, 2002
