Saed tof M. Eliza. Opie Mason the beloved wife of ArmsteadT. Mason and the dear and only child of General Thomas Parker on the 18th day of April 1811 She terminated a life of twenty five years. Spent in the faithful and sacred discharge of every duty and particular devotion to her parents her husband and her God. This humble monument in commemoration of her unrivalled excellence and virture is erected by her most affectionate and afflicted husband when times cold hands shall close my aching eyes oh lay beneath this sacred shrine where wrapped in night my loved Eliz lies oh gently lay this weared earth of mine. So shall with purer joy my spirit move when the last trumpet thrill the ? death catch the first whisper of my walking love and drank with the holy kiss her kinding breath the spotless fair with blush other out warn. Shall hail with sweeter smile returning day. Rise from her marble bed a brighter form and ? on? Shall bond approved where beckoning? on lord of silver her adoring? approach with ? the throne of light and virture plead with angle tongue for me.
