MINNIE SEVERNS

Mrs. Minnie SEVERNS, 90, of Decatur, Ala., died Saturday in Block Chandly Hospital, Hartselle, Ala. after several months of failing health. She was born in Belvidere on Nov. 17, 1874, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William CHAMPION.
She attended Belvidere schools and was married in this city 1897 to Charles R. SEVERNS. Her husband was employed by the National Sewing Machine Co. for several years and later was the Chicago Company manager. He died March 20, 1940.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Stephen A. DOUGLAS, of Batavia, Ohio; and two grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Valeta DOULGAS, preceded her mother in death.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Witbeck-Wheeler-Sabien Funeral Home by the Rev. Hayes Fletcher of First Methodist Church. Internment will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
There will be no visitation
