Edwin Arthur Meadows, age 87, passed away April 18, 2008 in Salt Lake City. He was born October 1, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Sidney Meadows and Florence Meadows.
He married Eileen Bowler on Nov. 7, 1939 in Parowan, Utah. Member of LDS Church. No words could ever describe this wonderful man. Ed modeled the true definition of devotion in all walks of life; country, community, and mostly his family. Ed served as a rifleman for the U.S. Army during WWII. A gentleman, who never judged others, showed a passion for life that touched all who knew him. He truly loved dancing, gardening and sharing his stories and sense of humor. Even in his last hours, he was smiling and making us laugh. Ed's commitment as a husband and father was unparalleled. Married for 64 1/2 years to his one and only sweetheart, he exemplified what true love is all about. All of those lucky to have been touched by this amazing man will truly miss him. While we can't see him, we will feel him in that special part of our hearts that only he could fill. Love you Always and All ways.
Ed is survived by his children, Nancy (Burt) Cowan, Larry (Pam) Meadows, Randy (Michele) Meadows, and Debbie (Randy) Aspiazu; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, eight brothers and sisters, and two grandchildren.
