GEORGE, Dennis P. Of Pocassett, formerly of Milton and Cambridge died January 4, 2009 at age 90. He was the beloved husband of 52 years, of the late Maureen F. George. He was the son of the late Peter & Christina (Vorres) George, of Cambridge and Greece. Devoted father to Dennis P. George Jr. of Pocassett, Steven P. George and his wife Deborah of Plymouth, Christine Whelden and her husband Neal of Nantucket, cherished grandfather of Michael and Kevin George and Robert Colwell Jr.; brother of Kaliope Nicholas of Belmont, Katherine Elios of Belmont, Anastasia Dimitrakis of Arlington and the late Christos P. George of Flushing NY. many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 9th, 2009 at the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. BOURNE, MA at 12p.m. Visiting hours will be held, prior to the funeral service from 10 to 11:45am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. At Mr. George's request, donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
