David Stanley Crews, 50 (b. 22 Aug 1950) of Hilliard, FL, died Wednesday (25 Oct 2000) at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chambless Funeral Home Chapel in Nahunta with the Revs. Leon Wilson, Monroe Gill and Frank Jacobs officiating.

Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery in the Raybon Community.

Songs: "Daddy's Hands," and "There's a Cross Standing in My Way."

Pallbearers were Shawn McClinton, Randy O'Berry, Corbett Wilson, Cleve Wilson, Donnie May, Donald Wilson, Mark Aldridge, timmy Lee, Tony, and Mike Haney.

A native of Wayne County, he was a truck driver and a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Terrell Crews.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Williams Crews; six daughters, Bobbie Jo Griffis (husband George) of Odum, Betty Joe Crews of Brunswick, Mary Whiten of Hilliard, FL, Jackie Aldridge (husband Mark) of Folkston, Patsy Wilson (husband Donald) of Waycross, and Susie Lee (husband Timmy) of Hoboken; a son, Benjie Johns of Nahunta; 17 grandchildren; his mother, Elma Lynes Crews of Nahunta; a sister Sherrell Johns (husband Edgar) of Nahunta; two brothers, Terry Crews (wife Kathy) of St. Marys and Stacy Crews (wife Tammy) of Nahunta.

Chambless Funeral Home of Nahunta was in charge of arrangements.
