BIOGRAPHY - FLORENCE "JANE" WARD BOHNER

Florence "Jane" Ward, the daughter of Ora Francis & Florence D. Bomberger Ward, was born at Dallas Center, Dallas County, Iowa on January 3, 1929.

Jane's mother, Florence Bomberger Ward, died 3 days after Jane was born. Jane was then raised by her Aunt Hazel Bomberger Zuck (born10/21/1893, died 3/1987) and Hazel's husband Charles Zuck.

Jane graduated from Dallas Center High School, Dallas Center, Iowa and was employed by Bankers Life in Des Moinea and with a Des Moines doctor until she began employment at the John Deere Des Moines Works where she worked in the Marketing and Product Engineering Departments. Jane then worked in the Human Resources Department as Benefits Specialist until her retirement.

Bob and Jane had no children. Jane's husband, Robert Earl Bohner, died June 26, 2006.

Jane resided on acreage on the northeast edge of Perry, Iowa and later moved to an independent living apartment at the Rawley Nursing Home location in Perry. She was admitted to hospice in Spurgeon Manor in November, 2022 and passed away at that location on October 11, 2023
