Omar Euin Wortham, 88, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at home after a brief illness.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Pastor Bob Massey will officiate. Masonic Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Omar was born April 17, 1920, in Kinta, Okla. He was a master Mason and member of Polytechnic Lodge #925 for over 30 years. He first joined the Masons in 1955. His career progressed from Convair Aircraft and then Rosenthal Meat Packing in the 1950s to the engineering and tool design division of Bell Helicopter for 32 years.
Omar and his wife, Nancy, had been members, consecutively, of Polytechnic Methodist Church, Englewood Methodist Church, Grace Temple and Bethel Temple. They have been residents of Fort Worth since 1938.
Omar was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two adult brothers.
Survivors: Wife, Nancy; son, Ron Wortham and wife, Debby; grandson, Dustin; two sisters; and two brothers.
