She was born the daughter of Frank Jackson and Iva Corene (Johnson) Baskette.
Surviving are four children, Regina Jo Kirk-McConnell, Eddie Lee Kirk, Renee Louise Kirk-Minor and John F. Kirk as well as ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Frank Baskette and a sister, Gloria Beverly Holley, both of Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Reginald LeMoine Kirk in 2002, a half-sister, Dorothy Louise Amerson- Key, and a half-brother, Vester Eugene Amerson.
