Suggested edit: There is also a gravestone for Joseph D. Madison on Mackinac Island in Michigan. Possibly he and his brother are truly buried there but notated on this stone as well. I have photos if you would like to include them on this page. I am not a family member but we noted the gravestone because Joe served in the same Company in the Civil War as my ancestor.
Photos sent to me via e mail of the stone to be placed on this memorial by another contributor where he is actually buried at.
This means more research is necessary. Need to check with the cemetery office to see if he is actually buried there. That phone call July 8, 2019 confirmed that neither of the three are actually buried in Hazelwood Cemetery. This needs to be marked as a cenotaph.

Lot well maintained all year round. Monument in very good shape. All three of the individuals listed on the monument are not actually buried in the lot. This is a cenotaph only.
