Services for Floyd N. "Mac" Crain, 84 of Columbia were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 17 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with the Rev. Mike Green and Rev. Bobby Cruse officiating. Interment followed in the Hurricane Grove Cemtery at Sikes.

Mr. Crain was born in Sikes on May 27th, 1915, to the union of Jack and Nancy Parker Crain and died Monday, June 14, 1999 at Citizens Medical Center in Columbia.

He was a retired mechanic and attended Bellview Baptist Church in Columbia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vaudine Taylor Crain and his son Ronald Crain.

Survivors include his son: J. V. Crain of Columbia; his daughters [only one named]: Cathy McIllister of Orlean, Va.; his sisters: Margie Lawrence of El Dorado, Ar. and Annie Ott of Greenwood, La., and one granddaughter, two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Bobby Johnson, Terry Johnson, Tim Burris, Ronnie Darden, Dewey Braddock and Jerry Mobley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joy Tyler, Albert Lee Winters, Lionell Taylor, Herchel Rigdon and Ned Goff.

COLUMBIA — Floyd N. 'Mac' Crain, a retired mechanic, died Monday. The funeral is 2 p.m. today at Riser Funeral Home chapel in Columbia. Burial is at Hurricane Grove Cemetery in Sikes. Visitation is from 8 a.m. until services today at the funeral home.
