Frances Cason Greene passed away January 23, 2013 with family at her side. Frances was born February 1, 1924 in Avon Park, Highlands County, FL. In 1983 she retired from Indian River County Health Department in Vero Beach, FL where she was an administrative assistant for 21 years. She faithfully served as the secretary of Perrine Baptist Church in Dade County, FL. In 2009 she moved to the Brookridge Retirement Community in Winston-Salem, NC to be close to family. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, J. Lewis Greene, eldest son, Thurman G. Greene, brother, William J. Cason, and sister, Elma Lee Cason Lord. She is survived by her children, Steven L. Greene (Tess), Larry A. Greene (Mona) and Jeanne G. Snowa (Lin), seven grandchildren, Matthew Greene, Jared Greene, Jason Greene, Wendy Greene, Heather Spivey, Lewis Spivey and Bill Snowa, and thirteen great grandchildren, Logan Spivey, Jack Snowa, Rachel Snowa, Gregory Kraft, Abigail Greene, Nicholas Greene, Andrew Greene, Kaitlyn Greene, Jake Greene, Cole Greene, Nathaniel Greene, Zachary Greene and Garrett Greene. She is well loved and will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service will be at Frank Vogler and Sons Reynolds Chapel, 2951 Reynolds Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 at 2 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2013 with visitation to follow.
