BODY OF MISSING MEDIX RUN MAN IS RECOVERED

St Mary's- The body of Ernest Crofutt, 75 was recovered from Big Medix Run yesterday about eight miles from the point where he fell into the stream and drowned Tuesday night.
The finding of his body ended a two day search of Medix Run by residents of the area and State Police from Ridgeway barracks and Dubois volunteer fireman.
The elderly man, who lived along the bank of Medix Run, fell into the high waters of the stream about 10 pm Tuesday night.
Accompanied by his young daughter, he had gone to fill a tea kettle full of water. As he leaned over, he fell into the stream. Neither the girl or other members of the family were able to rescue him, and a call was put into Dubois for assistance.
