Final rites were held at 9:30 a.m. today in the Hurricane [Grove Church in] Sikes for Andre[w] Jackson Thomas, 82, of 714 Sanford St., Monroe, who died Saturday following a brief illness.
Officiating at the services were the Revs. E. L. Hayes and E. L. Tractor.
Burial followed in the Hurricane Grover cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral home of Jonesboro.
Mr. Thomas was a retired timberman.
He is survived by two sons, Fred and Troy Thomas, both of Monroe.
