"Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gee - Given a Surprise Party"
"Last Saturday evening neighbors and friends to the number of over half a hundred betook themselves to the home of C. A. Gee in Dublin for the purpose of surprising Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gee, who were recently married. The company assembled and took the house by storm much to the amazement of the young couple who were completely taken off their guard. After recovering from their surprise they made their guests welcome in the good old-fashioned way. Music, games and a general good time were the order of the evening. The newly married couple were the recipients of a kitchen shower of many beautiful and valuable presents, consisting of seventy pieces and valued by them at many times their value in dollars. In the "wee sma' hours" the company departed for their homes, feeling that an evening had been well and pleasantly spent."
