Marjorie L. Barber, 60, Connersville, Ind., died Wednesday, July 10, 1991, at her home in Connersville.
Born on Jan. 18, 1931, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of Virgil E. and Ellen McDaniel Sorrell. Her mother preceded her in death, but her father survives. She moved to Connersville in 1969 and was a member of the Connersville Church of God.
On Dec. 5, 1970, she married Tom Barber and he survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Robert P. Richardson, Connersville, Charles William Richardson, Dayton, Ohio, Thomas E. Richardson, Connersville, and Wayne Richardson of Indianapolis; one daughter, Mrs. Karen Dragoo of Connersville; four step-sons, Harold Gene Barber, Indianapolis, Ernie L. and Everett Barber of Greensburg, and Dallas Barber of Madison, Ind.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Bob (Connie) Arnett, Osgood, and Mrs. Charles (Pearletta) Roberts, New Point.
Also; three brothers, Wilbur Sorrell, Rushville, Ind., Jesse Sorrell, Glenwood, Ind., and Calvin Sorrell, Connersville; four sisters, Barbara Hawkins, Irvine, Ky., Loretta Pence, Connersville, Mary Hokey, Connersville, and Sharon Elliot of Washington State; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her mother, two sons, one daughter, one stepson, and one brother.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m., at the Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville with the Rev. Willie Russell officiating.
Burial will take place in the Hopewell Cemetery in Rush County.
Visitation is on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Moster and Cox Mortuary.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
