Chico Weekly Enterprise, Friday Evening, April 14, 1899, pg 1, col 8: Mrs. Nancy A. Matlock. Special to the Enterprise. Oroville, April 10. – Mrs. Nancy A. Matlock, breathed her last at 7 o'clock Saturday evening at the residence of Mrs. O.C. Martin, her daughter, in this city.

Several weeks ago Mrs. Matlock was stricken with paralysis, and since that time her decline has been gradual. In 1871 deceased removed with her husband and family from San Joaquin county to Butte county, and she has since made this her home. She leaves to mourn her loss three daughters, and one son, all residents of Butte county. They are Mrs. Geo. Wickman, Mrs. Ed. Martin, Mrs. O.C. Martin and Henry Matlock.

The funeral took place from the Baptist church in Biggs at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
