Joe Gail Berry, 74 died in his home in Liberal, KS. He was born near Pauls Valley, OK. the son of Buford Rumsay Berry and Katy Mae Edwards Berry.
He graduated for the Pauls Valley High School, he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific.
He worked in the oilfield at Larned and later Liberal. He was a partsman at Tradewinds Industries, retiring in 1988.
On Jan. 20, 1949 he married Joyce Whorton at Dodge City, KS., she survives. In addition to his son Gary Lee Berry and Pamela Sue Kerth Berry, Liberal, two grandchildren Bradly Wayne and Stacey Lee Berry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one daughter, Connie Dee Berry and Tommy Allen Berry
Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. and graveside services at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Larned, KS, Aug. 5th with Military Honors by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard.
