Eva was born in Hendley, Ne. the daughter of Guy Cary Kellogg and Sarah Cordelia Andre Kellogg. They lived in a sod house. Eva Kellogg moved to Ohio from Hendley, Nebraska with her family at the age of 8 years. Her father Guy C Kellogg had been a farmer in Kansas and Nebraska but due to the many hardships to his crops moved his family to Ohio. They returned to RIchmond, Ohio in 1912 and then to Conneaut Ohio.
Eva did not finish high school but graduated from Lake County Memorial Hospital Nursing School in 1927 and became a Registered Nurse. She had started nurses school in Conneaut,Ohio. When that school closed, she finished nurses training in Painesville,Ohio.
She worked at the Lake County Memorial Hospital where she met Edward on a blind date thru mutual friends on Edwards birthday 4 years before they married.
They were married on June 23, 1928.
They had two sons Robert Edward and Dennis Guy Lawrence born at Lake County Memorial Hospital.
She also worked as a school nurse when she lived in Perry, Ohio. When Robert was 7 years of age ,they lived in their new house on Narrows Rd. Ed Lawrence built that home where they lived all their lives.
