Libbie was the third of five known children of Lester Joel Canright and Phoebe Cooper Canright.

Her siblings were Milton Eugene Canright, b. 1851 in Orleans Co., New York, d. Dec. 16, 1878, in Leroy, Calhoun Co., Michigan; Edward Canright, b. 1853 in New York; Hattie G. Canright, b. Feb. 1, 1862, in Michigan, d. Feb. 13, 1863, in Michigan, Memorial #32897063; and Clifton W. Canright, b. Feb. 1, 1862 in Michigan, d. Sept. 21, 1862, in Michigan, Memorial #32896960.

Before she died, Libbie also gained 3 step-brothers when her father married Catherine Curtiss Walker Canright, and then 2 half-sisters were born.

Libbie's cause of death was consumption (tuberculosis).
