A retired contractor and farm laborer, Mr. Keeton moved to Arizona in 1938 from Texas. He was born Jan. 11, 1919 in Fairfield, Texas, and died May 15, 1990 in Phoenix. He was a charter member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; three sons: Kevin, of Fort Bliss, TX, Robert, of San Antonio, TX, and Rodney, of Casa Grande; seven daughters: Laura Mims, Curlie Smith, Areatha Keeton and Jackie Wedge, all of Casa Grande, Verta Harris, of Los Angeles, CA and LaDonna Allamby, of Fort Bliss, TX; his mother, Mrs. Curley B. Davis, of Casa Grande; brothers, Lois, of Casa Grande and Robert, of Bakersfield, CA; sister, Verta Haygood, of Casa Grande; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
