Nina M. (Hagaman) JOHNSON was the daughter of George H. and Ida J. (Galusha) HAGAMAN. She married David Rattler JOHNSON on January 15, 1897. They were the parents of:
1) John V. Johnson (1898-1970)
2) David B. Johnson (1900-1967)
3) George L. Johnson (1904-1958)
4) Ida E. Johnson Meyer (1908-1977)
5) Alfred F. Johnson (1911-1966)
6) Robert D. Johnson (1915-1980)

After the death of David R. JOHNSON, Nina married Mr. Stewart BENN. There were no children from the last marriage.

According to family members who were present at the time of Nina's death, she was to be buried next to her husband David. However, when the grave was being dug it was discovered that it already contained remains. Nina's remains were then interned in a nearby lot. However, the exact location of her grave is not known to her descendants as of 2009.

BENN, Nina Johnson, Grass Lake, passed away at Foote Hospital Monday, afternoon age 83 years. She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Ida Meyer, Grass Lake, four sons John V. Johnson of Grass Lake, David of Munith, Alfred of Minn., Robert of Onondaga; 21 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. Hazel Wigent of Grass Lake. Mrs. Benn is at the Storment Funeral Home were service will be held Thursday 1 p.m. interment Leoni Cemetery.
