LINCOLNTON - Sue Wilson Caldwell, 88, formerly of 2553 Pickwick Place, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at the Brian Center in Lincolnton.
Mrs. Caldwell was born in Lincoln County on September 30, 1920 to the late Robert and Burtis Canipe Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband J.B. Caldwell; three brothers, Thurn Wilson, Bob Wilson and Roy Baker Wilson; three sisters, Essie Tolbert, Margaret Talbert and Mary Wilson; one half brother, Ray Wilson; one half sister, Willie Dellinger.
Survivors include one son, Buck Caldwell and wife Janet of Charlotte; one daughter, Judy Shuford and husband Marty of Lincolnton; one sister, Dorothy Wilson of Lincolnton; two brothers, Joe Wilson and wife Doris of Lincolnton, David Wilson and wife Betty of Lakeland, Fla.; three grandchildren, Meredith Shuford and husband Brian Zagorski, Holly Kubovcik and husband Michael of Raleigh, Jae Caldwell of Fort Mill, S.C.; four great-grandchildren, Charlotte Zagorski, Zachary Zagorski, Thomas Kubovcik, Elizabeth Kubovcik.
