Richard, 81, of Campbell, California, passed peacefully with his loved ones surrounding him. He will be remembered as a loving, kind-hearted family man, full of patience, a great sense of humor, and his ability to fix anything.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Madonna; daughter Lori Toland; son Scott and daughter-in-law Corinne; five grandchildren: Bryan and Andreya (Arevalo), Sarah Sexton, and Jason and Joshua Toland; three great-grandchildren: Mateo, Raquel, and Sammy Arevalo; as well as several relatives and many friends.
Friends were invited to celebrate his life at a Funeral Mass on Jan. 17, at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 2350 Winchester Blvd, Campbell. He was buried at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the American Lung Assoc. (Interstitial Lung Disease).
