Funeral services for Huey Philetus Bishop, 79, of Hudson Community, at Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Bishop died Wednesday night in a Pineville hospital after an illness of several weeks.

Conducting the services will be Rev. E. B. Barton, pastor of Welcome Home Baptist church, of which he was a member, with burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Bishop was a native of Asheville, N.C., and was employed by a lumber company in Hodge for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Esther Kelly Erskins Bishop, of Hudson; three sons, Huey P. Bishop of Ada, Okla., Jamie Joe Bishop of Odessa, Tex., and Thomas Kelly Bishop of Shreveport; four daughters, Mrs. Roy Potter, of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Alice Cole of Vada, Okla., Mrs. Lela Williams of Olla, and Mrs. Mary Faye Bellar of Virginia; one stepson, Luther Jenkins of Gaars Mill, two stepdaughters, Miss Vera Erskins of Chicago and Mrs. John D. Waters of Shreveport; 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Harlan T. Bishop of Spokane, Wash., and Adger Bishop of Memphis, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Will Ditto of Dayton, Oregon.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Gaar, Shelby Gaar, Carthal Payne, Clayton Norred, R. G. Simpkins, and J. Y. Terry.
