Laura Mae Davis Underwood Sewell

BONHAM

Graveside services for Mrs. Laura Mae Underwood Sewell, age 89, of Bonham, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove. Officiating will be Rev. Rick Hargrave.

Mrs. Sewell passed away Tuesday in the Fairview Nursing Home in Bonham.

She was born on May 22, 1910 in Tuskahoma, OK.

She married Leslie Cecil Underwood. He preceded her in death.

She later married Charles Sewell.

Mrs. Sewell was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Sewell of Arkansas; son, Billy Underwood and wife, June of Ravenna; daughters, Betty McKinney and husband, J. D. of Idalou, Rose Harris and husband, Pete of Grand Prairie, Emma Thomas of Garland, Pat Hankins and husband, Rick of Mansfield, and Brenda Mize and husband, Roger of Wills Point; 24 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Jack Wayne Underwood and daughter, Ellen Fay Bell.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday night at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
