Funeral services for William Earl Amos, 49, of Winnsboro were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 20, in First Baptist Church of Crowville with the Rev. S.B. Boyett and the Rev.
Marion Collier officiating.

Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.

He was a lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, a member of the First Baptist Church of Crowville, a member of the Winnsboro Masonic Lodge No. 246 F&AM, a veteran of the Korean Conflict and had worked 26 years for South Central Bell Telephone Co., serving as a business service manager for the past few years.

Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Eudolie Arnold Amos, Crowville; three sons, Billy Amos, Monroe and Tony Amos and Charles Amos, both of Crowville; one daughter, Miss Linda Amos, Crowville; his father, Marion C. Amos, Jena; his step-father, Robert Dunham, Crowville; three brothers, James C. Amos, Monroe, Billy Mac Amos, Jena and Bobby Dunham, Greely, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Ryals, Monroe; Mrs. Catherine Stewart, Monroe; two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Peters, Lester Newton, B.J. DeFreese, Mickey Whitten, Andrew Stokes, Kenneth Taylor, Harold Schooler and Gerald Jones.

South Central Bell Telephone employees served as honorary pallbearers.
