Dean farmed most of his life while working in several area creameries. After his retirement from farming, he enjoyed being a driver for VARC for many years. Dean was also an outdoorsman who enjoyed cutting wood and gardening. Woodworking was his favorite hobby and he is remembered for his many furniture creations.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; parents; and sister, Marjorie Armstrong.
Dean is survived by his sons, Kenneth (Debra) Beier of Reedsburg, and Barry (Nena) Beier of LaValle; Grandchildren: Colleen Beier (Shane Huebel), Korey Beier, Sara (Brent) Wiebke, Chad (Kristine) Beier, James (Kelly) Beier, Bret (Sara) Beier, Caleb Beier (Fiance’, Meg Golz); Great grandchildren: Rylee, Henry, Graham, Brooks, Anna, Reese, Bristol, Georgia, and Lauren; Many cousins, nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.
A service celebrating Dean’s life will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Valton Friends Church, Valton, with Pastor Nate Perrin officiating. Visitation will be held that morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
