Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Long Prairie for Elsie E. Lee, age 101 of Long Prairie who died December 7, 2008 at Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home. Rev. Andrew Brown and Rev. Paul J. Twist will officiate and burial will be in Reynolds Emmanuel Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7PM on Thursday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home - Stein Chapel in Long Prairie. Arrangements were made by Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Long Prairie. Elsie was born October 3, 1907 in Reynolds Township, Todd County, Minnesota to Arnt & Helena (Lundquist) Erickson. She married Francis Lee on May 17, 1932 in Eagle Bend, Minnesota. The couple farmed in Reynolds Township until 1969. Elsie was an active member of Reynolds Emmanuel Church where she played the organ for 39 years. In 1976 she moved to an apartment in Long Prairie and in April of 2005 to the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home. Elsie enjoyed quilting, crocheting, tatting, playing piano and bible studies. She raised chickens, had big gardens and helped with farmwork. Survivors include her children, Jeanette (Darvin) Alsleben, Roy (Joan) Lee all of Long Prairie, Marleen (Peter) Anderson of Spring Lake Park; sister, Ethel Christiansen of Long Prairie; nine grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis Lee in 1970; brothers, Helmer, Arthur, Arvid, Rudolph and Joseph; two infant sisters; and step granddaughter, Stacy Kern
