Francis M. Ballard (Grandpappy), 101, a four-year resident of Sierra Vista died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005.

He was born on Oct. 4, 1904 to Milo and Charlotte (Nichols) Ballard in Faribault County, Minn.
Francis is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Seehusen Ballard ; parents, Milo and Charlotte; siblings; nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his a daughter, Janet L. Brady; son, Marvin L. (Chris) Ballard; two grandchildren, CW3 Sonja L. Lewis of Camp Victory, Iraq and Tonya Thomas of Sierra Vista.
Francis was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, Minn.
Memorial contributions in Francis’ name may be made to the Oprah’s Angel Network, PO Box 96600, Chicago, IL 60693. Animal shelters or charity of choice.
You were a kind and gentle man, you touched everyone you met. Your love was unconditional. You will be greatly missed. And now you will be at home with Rose.
