Wilson's death date is unclear. Years ago a family member had told me he died in 1939. His headstone states that he died 27 Aug 1940, but his obituary (below) was published on Friday, 01 Aug 1941, mentioning his services were "conducted Friday" (that same day? the week before?) and that he had died on the Wednesday prior to whichever Friday the services were conducted, which means he would have died on either 30 Jul 1941 or 23 Jul 1941. His death certificate has not yet been located. (If anyone locates it, can you please let me know? Thanks!)

From "The (Jellico, TN) Advance-Sentinel," Friday, 01 Aug 1941:
