Preceding him in death were parents, and sister Gladys Huth.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jean Butcher of El Dorado; two sons, Richard Butcher and his wife, Natalie, of El Dorado, James Butcher and his wife, Sherry, of Missouri; one daughter, Janice Roscoe and her husband, George, of El Dorado; grandchildren, Derek and Kevin Roscoe, Stephanie Butcher; one brother Jimmy Butcher and his wife, Bernie, of Vidalia, Illinois; two sisters, Mary West of Jonesboro, Louisiana and Diann Crooks of Morgan City, Louisiana.
