Mrs. Fannie Spangler Shue, wife of Bert S. Shue, was born June 6, 1884, and died at her home, Jefferson, Pa., April 27, 1944, aged 59 years, 10 months, and 21 days.
Mrs. Shue's sudden death was a shock to the community in which she had spent her entire life. She was a kind mother and good neighbor.
She was a member of St. Peter's (Lischey's) Evangelical and Reformed Church for many years.
The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon, April 30, in charge of her pastor, Rev. Franklin Glassmoyer, Spring Grove, Pa., assisted by Rev. Paul D. Yoder, D.D. There were brief services at her late home and further services at Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church, Jefferson. Rev. Yoder spoke on the text, St. John 14:1. Burial was made in the Jefferson Cemetery.
