Russian Count. Naturalisation certificate: Schouvaloff, Paul; Russia; Author; 17, Nevern Road, Earl's Court, London. 22 March, 1933. In 1938 he was appointed artistic director of the British branch of Paramount Films, where one of his first successes was the set for the film 'French without tears'. Under the name of Paul Sheriff, he became a stage designer, and one of his great successes was the set he did for the famous film of Shakespeare's Henry V.
