Tom was a 35-year employee of the Burlington Northern Railroad, formerly known as the Great Northern Railway. After retirement, he moved to Carefree, Arizona, where he lived for 24 years. Tom was survived by three daughters, one son, 11 grandchildren, his brother Ted and his sister Joan. He was preceded in death by his former wife Darlene Ann (Krick) Hooker.
